Eden Juniors

Haweswater Half Marathon 2021

and Junior 2.5k Run

Eden Runners would firstly like to say a big thank you to everyone who attended or helped out in March 2020 when we were very fortunate to host our annual event.

The ongoing COVID19 situation and current tiering structure has placed uncertainty beyond our beloved first Sunday in March 2021, and whilst the infrastructure can be in place we have to consider the influx of visitors to a small rural community and also the safety of runners, marshals and spectators. We also hope to be welcomed back into the Bampton community for many years to come where runners are greeted with a legendary mug of tea and flapjack at the village hall finish line.  Having assessed all this, the current level of risk and uncertainty around the many aspects involved in organising the race, the committee have made the very difficult decision not to host the event in March 2021.

We hope you keep safe and well in the meantime and please pencil in Sunday 6th March 2022!
